Excerpts from FORGE YOUR FUTURE by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

Following are excerpts from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's latest book 'FORGE YOUR FUTURE'. The book is a collection of questions from youth and Dr. Kalam's reply. Although the questions are very personal and specific, the answers provided by the author are general and could be related to ones' own life. The book has been divided into five units each further segmented into brief chapters.

NAVIGATING TIME
If you waste time , it waste you.
killing time is not murder, its suicide. By killing time one is not hurting others  but oneself
let not thy winged days be in vain

Overcoming Failures
There is no success without failure. Failures are just intermittent blockades, success is destination
When suffering appears in our lives we should be aware that beneath its negative surface there could be a hidden opportunity for growth and deepening.

Attributes of courage
Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it.
To feel no fear is foolish, to let fear rule is, indeed, cowardice.
Courage is not the roaring proclamation of victory, it is the little voice at the end of the day that says, and tomorrow I shall try again.
Temporary setbacks shouldn’t be seen as insurmountable obstacles which make you change your goals instead it must be perceived as stepping stones for course correction…
